JS(AC)44a RAF cover dual numbered AF2 as part of the Airborne Forces Series. The cover artwork by Tony Theobald depicts trainees descending from a Balloon at Tatton Park, trainees dropping from a Whitley aircraft and the last stages of descent from the Parachute Tower at Ringway.

Cover bears 20p DFC / DFM stamp and is cancelled with BFPS 2241 postmark dated 11 November 1990 - The Central Landing Establishment. Covers were parachuted by members of The Parachute Regiment Display Team into Browning Barracks Aldershot 19 October 1990 on the occassion of the Passing Out Parade of 557 Recruit Platoon and marking the 50th Anniversary of the formation of the Airborne Forces.
