JS(AC)75a RAF cover dual numbered AF21 as part of the Airborne Forces Series. The cover was produced to commemorate the British Airborne Forces involvements in Malaya , Cyprus and Suez. The artwork by Tony Theobald shows 3 PARA arriving at El Gamil airfield, Porrt Said as part of the Suez operations 5 November 1956 with an inset picture of a soldier from 3 PARA checking over an Egyptian SU 100 tank and beneath a priest under arrest in Cyprus during 1955 and a patrol wading through a jungle river in Malaya during the Emergency.
The cover bears 24p Marine Timekeeper stamp and is cancelled with BFPS 2368 postmark with the words 'We remember Cyprus, Malaya and Suez' dated 11 May 1993. The cover has been flown in Lockheed C-130 Hercules XV178 of No 30 Squadron from RAF Lyneham to Akrotiri in Cyprus and return.
