Cover commemorating events in 1943 and depicts scenes from campaigns such as the Capture of Tripoli 23 January 1943, The Battle of the Ruhr and Vultee Vengeances of No 110 Squadron attacking the Japanese Headquarters in the Arakan. Cover depicts campaign medal Burma Star.

Qualifying service in the Burma Campaign counted from 11 December 1941 and included service in Bengal or Assam from 1 May 1942 to 31 December 1943 and from 1 January 1944 onwards in these parts of Bengal or Assam east of the Brahmaputra. Naval service in the eastern Bay of Bengal, off the coasts of Summatra Sunda and Malacca also counted.

Cover bears full set of millennium stamps and is cancelled on first day of issue 01.02.00 which was the 52rd Anniversary of The first Arakan Campaign.

Cover has been flown on Exercise Bright Star in Hercules of No 30 Squadron from RAF Lyneham to Iraklion and Cairo West
