Commemorative cover produced to mark the 60th Anniversary of the 60th Anniversary of the Battle of Berlin, which ran from 18 November 1943 - 31 March 1944, we have produced a special commemorative cover. The cover artwork shows a Avro Lancaster bring attacked by a Messerschimdt Bf110 Luftwaffe Night Fighter.

The raids on Berlin were a long way for the Allied Bombers to fly and it was undoubtably not an easy trip with navigation, poor weather, flak guns and enemy fighters to contend with. Bomber Command managed to inflict heavy damage on the German capital, but suffered heavy looses throughout the campaign.

Each cover bears the 60th Anniversary of the Battle of Berlin postmark. The covers have been flown from London heathrow to Berlin-Tegel Airport and return.
