Each photo measures 5" by 7" with a white border on all sides with the signature handsigned on the specially elongated bottom margin. The photograph is from the 1939-1945 period and has been reproduced and then signed by Richard Todd.
This signed photo forms part of a limited edition of Allied Aircraft photographs. This is number 3 in the new series, produced by ourselves. Each photograph has been handsigned and they are all numbered and certified on the reverse. Each photograph is a limited edition of 100.

The photograph shows Dambuster Lancaster ED925 before the Squadron codes were painted on which can be seen by the distinctive modifcation to the fuselage which allowed them to carry Barnes Wallis' bouncing bomb which was used to destroy two of the dams in Germany in the epic raid of May 1943 in which Guy Gibson was awarded his Victoria Cross and gave the newly formed 617 Squadron their current squadron crest which features lightning bolts over a broken dam.

ED925 which was coded as AJ-M on the dams raid and was the second to attack the M?hne Dam, but its mine bounced over the dam before detonating. Although the dam was missed, the mine succeeded in destroying the hydro-electric power station below the dam. The aircraft was hit by anti-aircraft fire and crashed three to four miles north-west of the target. Four of the six crew were killed in the crash, the other two were taken prisoner
