JS(CC)93b RAF Battle of Britain cover, dual numbered JS(BB)13b as part of our Battle of Britain mini-series. The artwork by Tony Theobald shows four Hawker Hurricanes flying in formation during the Summer of 1940, the aircraft shown were flown by the Commanding Officer Hogan, Ken MacKenzie, 'Ginger' Lacey and Ken Lee, all of whom became fighter aces during WWII. Along side the Air Force Cross medal is shown full size, which was awarded to officers and warrant officers for gallantry during non-operational missions.

The cover bears 17p Royal Mail Lord Dowding / Hurricane stamp which shows 'SD-N' which is shown on the cover artwork and cancelled with 60th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain postmark on 15 September 2000. The cover has been flown in Hurricane LF 363 of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight over Kenley at the unveiling of the Kenley Tribute.
